American Bike Tours

~All the adventure with none of the responsibilities!©~

Anything fun in life has details you need to address before you get to the fun part, and touring on a Harley® is no different. Our aim is to give you a pleasurable experience on your tour, and the information we collect from you regarding height and weight are to allow for sizing a comfortable, safe helmet and adjusting the air-assist shocks for stability on the road. So if you think you're ten pounds overweight for your height, don't sweat it! We don't even think about it. For safety and comfort reasons, we need to know. If you're six foot six, we might want to get a taller bike. Your comfort is the bottom line. Your safety is key. Please give us accurate details.

What we need from you:
Try these web sites for ideas:
Official California tourism web site.  A good, basic start. Check the Driving Tours page!

California Travel Dreams.  Look in the "Northern California" section and poke around. Largely a hotel and eatery ad site, but lots of info on sightseeing and special places if you hunt.

The Redwood Empire Association web site has good info on local events and attractions. Search by event or location and read short articles about the locales.

1). We need to know your weight. This is so we can show up with our air-assist shocks pre-tuned for the total GVW (gross vehicle weight) we are going to have.
2). We will need a head size for you so that we can provide a comfortable helmet for you to wear. Nothing worse than a too tight, or too loose, helmet on your head all day!
3). It will help us to know a little bit about your eating habits; i.e. whether or not you have a specific dietary regimen you follow, any particular likes or dislikes, and any known allergies to things such as seafood/shellfish, etc. We try to plan our meal stops with your tastes as our main concern.
4). We will need an idea of the specific area you would like to tour. As all our tours are custom, "one-off" tours, we have no set routes. We will accommodate your wishes and create a custom tour for you each time you ride, based on the information you provide us and our expertise in the local roadways and sights. It would be a good idea to check a California roads and travel site to get an idea of the places you might like to see in Northern California's San Francisco Bay Area. This is the main area we offer to our guests, with areas outside the main Bay Area offered in our longer packages due to the longer travel time.
